Charlotte Lindsey-Enge
Charlotte Lindsey-Enge is an artist based in Dallas. She works in partnership with artist Larry Enge creating public art as MONTAGE 48/61. Currently they are completing the design phase on the new DART Silver Line Station in Downtown Carrollton. (Scheduled to open in 2022.) In 2014, they completed a water jet-cut mural for the new Central Fire Station in Grand Prairie, Texas. This project was recognized for its excellence with a CID Community Award by Coverings '15. In 2004 she and Carol Wilder Enge collaborated on public art for the new terminal building at Dallas Executive Airport. This design received an Honor Award from the NMTA (National Mosaic and Terrazzo Association.)
Charlotte also has over 15 years experience as a teaching artist, which has involved both teaching and administrating art programs. She has specialized in designing and directing collaborative, tile mosaic mural projects that utilize children's drawings. She has been included in the Big Thought/Young Audiences’ Residency
Roster since its inception in 1991. In 2005, National Young Audiences Inc. honored her as their National Artist of the Year.
Her residencies, workshops, teacher training and mural making have taken her to over 50 settings across the Dallas area. She directed the ArtWorks Program at The Wilkinson Center for six years and served for three years as the Artistic Director for the Dallas site of the Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of North Texas and did graduate work in printmaking.
